Fishing
I pretty much only do offshore kayak fishing, so that's the info you'll find here. Australian mackerel and tuna fishing in particular. Please checkout gear for what I use. I fish the Gold Coast during the summer, November to May. From June to October I normally go to Canada, so not much Snapper or Mulloway fishing for me. GC and surrounding regions can have some great fishing then too tho.
Check out cooking for more on how to fillet, store, and cook with the fish.
📄️ Bait
We primarily use these baits:

📄️ Ikejime
Ikejime (also spelled ikijime) is a Japanese technique for quickly and humanely killing fish while preserving meat quality. The method involves destroying the brain immediately after catching the fish, which prevents the release of stress hormones and lactic acid that can affect the texture and flavor of the meat.
📄️ Knots
I get away with using these three knots:

🗃️ Species

📄️ Techniques

📄️ Weather
I look at Willy Weather for wind, rain, tides, and swell. At the start of the season I'll also check the water temp at our weather buoy.
